About Us

Coast Law Group LLP is an award-winning law firm established in 2004. We were founded on the principle that business and environmental communities deserve attorneys who are aggressive and professional, while committed to values of integrity and justice. While we have received dozens of awards over the years, we gauge our success both by the service we provide our clients and the positive impact we have on our community.

History

In early 2003, sole practitioners including Marco Gonzalez and Gary Sirota decided it was time to merge their collective knowledge and create a firm that could build on each of their reputations for providing sophisticated and reliable legal service to a broad range of clients. With Ross Campbell and Chris Polychron as associate attorneys, Coast Law Group was launched in Encinitas, California in March, 2004.

A string of early successes both inside and out of the courtroom catapulted Coast Law Group to the forefront of Southern California firms emphasizing environmental preservation and public interest matters. Profiled in newspapers and other national media shortly after establishment of the firm, CLG received further national recognition in November, 2004 as the attorneys involved in a high-profile legal battle surrounding a contested write-in bid for Mayor of San Diego.

In 2006, the firm added Partners David Peck and Seyamack Kouretchian (merging with Kouretchian Law Group), thereby significantly expanding its business and litigation departments and adding new competencies in intellectual property and personal injury. Subsequently, CLG’s reputation as one of Southern California’s fastest growing and most dynamic and respected law firms has not gone unnoticed. Coast Law Group now regularly represents the interests of clients from around the world on issues of great importance to the environmental, business, and technology communities.

In July of 2009, Coast Law Group opened the doors on its new facility strategically located on South Coast Highway 101 indowntown Encinitas. The short walk to the surf at Swami’s, along with the vibrant downtown surroundings and access to mass transit perfectly complement the spirit and vision of the firm. With a cadre of incredibly talented attorneys and support staff, CLG’s reputation for first-rate and personable legal representation continues to grow.

Besides having being recognized as the top attorneys in San Diego by the L.A. Times and the New York Times, CLG has also been recognized by Outside Magazine as one of the best places in the U.S.A. to work, rising up every year to the top ten spot in 2015.  Several CLG attorneys have also been regularly identified as Superlawyers by their peers in the categories of corporate law, intellectual property, and litigation.

Today

The firm continues to grow with highly sought-after attorneys who bring significant experience in intellectual property, transactional, real estate, environmental, project development, and venture financing areas, thereby helping their clients close significant deals.

We have also expanded our business and transactional departments by representing more action sports, fashion, online marketing, start-up entrepreneurs, tycoons, seasoned executives, and businesses of all sizes across a broad range of vertical industries. Additionally, we’ve continued to grow our personal injury department to represent more members of the community, specifically cyclists and victims of catastrophic injuries.

Lastly, as part of our mission to direct our legal expertise to benefit the local community, CLG has continued to contribute thousands of hours toward pro-bono work. From fighting to keep yoga in the Encinitas school district, actively protecting the environment against pollution, helping protect women from domestic violence, and a variety of other initiates designed to benefit the community, doing good and helping families and neighbors is integral to our mission.
