David A. Peck Partner (760) 942-8505 x108 | Email David David Peck is a trial attorney dedicated to providing aggressive and attentive representation to both plaintiffs and defendants, individuals and businesses. Having trained under some of California's preeminent litigators, David has established a reputation for tenacity in courtrooms throughout the state. He is a Senior Partner at Coast Law Group.
A graduate of the University of Southern California (1991) with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in political science, David subsequently attended Loyola Law School where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. He has been a member of the California Bar since 1994 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Central and Southern Districts.
After more than a decade of "large firm" practice, including several years as partner in one of the top litigation firms in the Western United States, David joined Coast Law Group in 2006. In addition to serving as head of the firm's insurance law and personal injury teams, David represents clients in disputes arising from business / contract issues; real estate matters (including easement claims, agent / broker liability, and neighbor disputes); insurance coverage; and professional negligence. His clients have included nationwide retailers, restaurant chains and landmark amusement parks.
While his numerous jury trial victories garner the most attention, David is equally proud of those difficult cases in which he has been able to achieve favorable resolution for his clients without protracted and costly litigation. Quoting from Sun-Tzu's The Art of War, Mr. Peck notes, "The best victory is when the opponent surrenders of its own accord before there are any actual hostilities . . . It is best to win without fighting."
David is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer on emerging litigation trends and has been a featured speaker at the annual conferences of the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU) and the Southern California Fraud Investigator's Association (SCFIA). David has also served as legal counsel for the San Diego and Los Angeles chapters of IASIU.
