A native of Southern California, Ross Campbell graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor's of Arts degree (2000) in Sociology. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law (2004), where he graduated cum laude and was a member of the San Diego Law Review. While a student, Ross published The Bajagua Project: Finding a Solution to the San Diego-Tijuana Sewage Crisis, 40 San Diego L. Rev. 1039 (2003).

Admitted to California State Bar in 2004, Ross was part of Coast Law Group's founding team. Since joining the firm as an associate, Ross has developed significant experience providing crucial senior partner support in numerous litigation and transaction matters, covering a wide variety of legal disciplines including:
