1% For The Planet Alliance.

Coast Law Group LLP (CLG), a community-conscious law firm based in Encinitas, California, proudly announced its membership in "1% for the Planet" for fiscal year 2006. As noted in the mission statement for the environmental program:

1% For The Planet is an alliance of businesses committed to leveraging their resources to create a healthier planet. Members recognize their responsibility to and dependence on a healthy environment and donate at least 1% of their annual net revenues to environmental organizations worldwide. The alliance aims to prove that taking environmental responsibility is good for business.

Given CLG's reputation for quality legal service to California's environmental community, the partnership was a natural fit. "At Coast Law Group, we realize that environmental stewardship is not just a personal choice, it's also about corporate responsibility," noted CLG partner Marco Gonzalez.
