Rory Wicks is a cofounder and Partner of Coast Law Group LLP, where he chairs the firm's General Civil Litigation/Appellate practice area. An accomplished attorney with extensive experience in state and federal courts over the last 31 years, Rory is known throughout the San Diego legal community as a tenacious and professional trial and appellate specialist with an impressive record of service to both his clients and the public at large.
Rory's expertise includes a wide range of legal disciplines, including environmental litigation (NEPA, CEQA, HEPA and the Clean Water Act), business litigation and torts, commercial law, contract, employment, land use, real estate, election, construction and construction defect litigation.
With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (1974) Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa and Departmental Honors, and a Juris Doctor (1978), Moot Court Honors, both from the University of Southern California, Rory was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1979. Since that time, he has tried 21 cases to resolution, and maintains the highest professional and ethical rating (AV) by Martindale-Hubbel. Reported appellate opinions include McKinney v.
