Rory Wicks is a cofounder and Partner of Coast Law Group LLP, where he chairs the firm's General Civil Litigation/Appellate practice area. An accomplished attorney with extensive experience in state and federal courts over the last 25 years, Rory is known throughout the San Diego legal community as a tenacious and professional trial specialist with an impressive record of service to both his clients and the public at large.
Rory's expertise includes a wide range of legal disciplines, including resolution of general business disputes, construction related issues, contract interpretations, employment and real estate law. Rory has also dedicated extensive time to litigating land use, environmental, and election law issues.
With a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Political Science (1974) and a Juris Doctor (1978), both from the University of Southern California, Rory was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1979. Since that time, he has tried 19 cases to resolution, and maintains the highest professional and ethical rating (AV) by Martindale-Hubbel. Appellate reported opinions include McKinney v. Superior Court (2004) 124 Cal.App.4th 951, and Building Industry Association of San Diego County v. State Water Resources Control Board (2004) 124 Cal.App.4th 866
