Biography

Rob is widely regarded as a creative and practical problem solver. Businesses rely on his expertise to develop strategies and resolve legal matters, especially in emerging industries where executives need decision-making support when facing newly adopted or imprecise legal boundaries.

Rob provides outside general counsel services to companies in the technology and apparel industries. He also has extensive experience developing and enforcing intellectual property rights. Clients rely on his rock-solid, state-of-the-art advice and expansive industry insight. Rob helps his clients navigate complicated environments so that business owners can focus on what they do best—growing their business.

He started his legal career as an Intellectual Property litigator handling trademark, copyright, and commercial cases in both federal and state court. Although he no longer actively litigates, his background informs his approach to negotiating, dispute resolution, and contract drafting. Rob also oversees a large and growing portfolio of federal and state trademarks on behalf of the firm’s clients.

Before becoming a lawyer, Rob spent over 12 years in Silicon Valley, contributing to the development of cutting-edge software at companies like Apple and IBM. He was also a co-founder of Decisive Technology, a successful Internet start-up company. Rob graduated with honors from California Western School of law and holds a Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University.

Outside of the office, Rob enjoys cycling and surfing with family and friends.
